Welcome to the forum. And congrats on the purchase.
Stick to the break in period by keeping it under 4k for the first 1000 miles.Just stick to the maintenance schedule & you should be fine. Also avoid launching the car to save your transmission.Don't throw the car into 1st when it is moving.

I just traded in my '04 RX8 today for an '11 WRX Premium
and I can't be happier... just wanted to start my first thread by asking, is there anything that the new WRX owner should know, maintenance-wise, etc...
... I don't expect the same w/ the WRX!
but I DO want any honest advice for the new owner

Congrats on the new purchase. It's worth it. They're low maintenance... fun... and very utilitarian for a sports compact. Did you get a sedan or wagon?
