    Welcome!

There isn't a whole lot of difference between boxer motors and othe motors (except that it's harder to reach the spark plugs, and compared to inline, two heads are better than one :P), but there is a large difference in tuning a turbo car vs. n/a. Research greatly before doing mods (if you think an intake and BOV would be good first steps, you really need to research more), and enjoy!

BTW, suspension mods will do a whole hell of a lot more than power, honestly! A good tune would certainly be desireable for more than just power reasons, though.

Welcome I had a 2000 SI before I got my 06 wrx. Listen to poly_poly-man the difference is you can't just slap anything on it a think it's going to work fine and parts are more expensive. Glad your here though
