looking to reach xxx amount of power, all info is inside!

I have a 03 wrx wagon with only a grimmspeed catless up-pipe at the moment. I am looking to pick up a turbo back here soon and some other things to reach my horsepower so tell me what you guys think would help reach this goal?

    1. looking to get around 240-270hp

    2. they both will be using a dynojet

    3. I will be using either the FTW tuning or PDXTuning in Oregon

    4. elevation is 173-194 feet above sea level

    5. using 92 octane gas

    6. I am using the stock TMIC on my 03 wagon, or getting an STI top mount.

The shops in question can answer that, since they know their work and dyno best. That said, 240whp isn't unreasonable on a Dynojet with a healthy car and those mods.

If i were you i would finish the exhaust at least with a turbo-back exhaust. Also get a boost controller like a grimmspeed ebcs to help for your protune and raising the boost level.

my other question is whats the most psi my stock turbo can run, is around 19 getting close or am i fine with my turbo now? and also i dont need a piggyback or anything for my ecu? on my previous car i had that i turboed i had to have a piggyback but my impression is when they protune it they just do it straight to the ecu correct?

Its a toss up as to what people are comfortable with. On stock turbo I did 17 PSI I believe. Yes, Pro Tune is just tuning straight through the computer.

There's more to it than just boost pressure. If the shop tunes OpenECU, you shouldn't need anything extra.
