    Quick question about brakes

Are they covered by warranty? The pads that is.

If not, will any brand from Autozone work? Mine literally just started squealing at low speeds, but the sound is louder than any other car I have ever had. After driving a while the sound completely disappeared.

I drove the car all day today, no sound, no nothing. I stopped at Chevron. When I left horrifying screeching. Parked the car for 2 hours at the coffee shop down the street, got back in to go home, and to my surprise no sound. Gotta be the brakes since the screeching sound went away when I applied the brakes.

More than likely there is a rock between your dust shield and your rotor.

Brake pads are not warranty items unless a caliper is bad or something to that effect.

Yes pads from autozone will work but will not be the best replacement for your oem pads.. they will eventually squeel horribly and ruin your rotors.. OEM, Hawk, or some good performance aftermarket are available at decent prices.

Ok great thanks! I will just get oem if needed. I need day light to see if the brake pad is even low.

    Skip OE.

    Centric Posi-Quiet / StopTech

Both of those are as good / better than OE, and cheaper.

Thanks! Do you have a specific site to get one of these that you know is good?

Not sure if Kronos Performance has them. They're a vendor on here - shoot a PM.

If they can't get them, KNSBrakes

Cool. Will do. Also do you prefer semi metallic or ceramic?

    They each have their pros/cons.

I run the semi-metallic Centric pads on my car.
