Sugestions? 02 Bugeye apearance.

I have a bone stock (Everything) WRB 02 Bugeye Sedan, I have 1,300.00 to spend on it right now and would like sugestions on how to spend it. Its in very good shape mechanicly so i want to spend the money on things that will help mainly in apearance but also dont mind doing small performance upgrades.....these are my thoughts!!!..tell me what you think,I dont have funds for it all right now so i will have to pick some of these!....Eibach pro kit springs...wheels and tires...front bumber or lip of some kind..grille of some kind(i like the one with the divider in the center)...JDM STI hood scoop...cat back exhaust...rear bumber or spats also...short shifter...gauges...dash mounted gauge pod that does away with factory dash clock...remove rear trunk spoiler ....the only thing i have done to the car is tint windows and the turbo silencer delete...any help would be greatly apreciated...I just want the most apearance increase for my money. Thanks for any help.

#1 not questions asked get a catless up-pipe
2. get the lowering springs
3. jdm hoodscoop (go to jspec, got mine there and was 230 painted and shipped)
4.wheels eventually

if you start there it will look alot better, basically what im doing to mine at the moment plus the hid kit

Kronos is this an area of concern like a must do for any 02 owner?

I would say first thing to do is:

#1 not questions asked get a catless up-pipe
2. get the lowering springs
3. jdm hoodscoop (go to jspec, got mine there and was 230 painted and shipped)
4.wheels eventually

if you start there it will look alot better, basically what im doing to mine at the moment plus the hid kit

Edit: OK, get some light weight, good looking, wheels and new tires. Then call it a day.

I just feel the springs should come before the wheels cause that stock ride height is like a 4x4. I say wheels last basically cause theyres gonna be a bunch more stuff in the middle that will pop up and when you spend almost 1k on wheels you see other things you want and wished you wouldnt of spent it on wheels even tho the stock ones suck haha but youll be happier you waited

I cannot think of better wheels in quality for the price. They are outstanding wheels.

Personally? I'd do tint, and then get some 17" RPF1's wrapped in some cheap but sticky summer rubber (hankook ventus v12 evo k110's come to mind)

Quality tires are much more important than you'd think. Especially living in a 3 season area like houston. Light wheels like RPF1's will increase acceleration (seriously...), and it'll help in the looks category that you're concerned about.

This is very true. I do like Enkei as a suggestion for wheels (the car already has Enkei wheels, after all!). There are still quality 225/50/16 compounds available (I use Goodyear but there are several others) or if you'd like you could go to 17, stay Enkei, and select something in a 225 again, or even go wider.

I'd personally get 225/45/17 tires on a 17x7-17x8 wheel. It's a good sized tire, a little stickier than stock, has enough sidewall to not be completely harsh, and fits under the WRX wheel well fairly well.

My 03 looked like yours at one point, here is what it looks like now. Rims were painted before I purchased, JDM hood scoop, sti rear spoiler. I dont have a picture with the scoop, sorry.

Does the JDM scoop do anything for preformance? I assume since the opening is bigger and lets more air in for cooling it would do something, or is it all just for show?
