From what ive heard, strut bars do little for handeling and the ebay ones are just as good as the expensive name brand ones...

I got one of those front strut brace bars for cheap, although I had to paint it blue. Like 06scoobyrex said, it's more of a dress up mod than an actual performance mod. The WRX/STi sedan is already fairly stiff.

The only thing that I've ever heard is the welds may not be that great and in result, not being that strong...but like others have said, sway bars do more for you handling wise.

    +1 for sway bars

I have the eBay strut bars (they were a gift), fitment isn't great but they will fit with some persuasion. I painted the nasty pink and it cleaned them up pretty well.

Get some sway bars and endlinks...
I wouldnt want strut bars for the simple fact they dont do anything specal for you other then get in the way when you need to work under the hood...

Where did the rear part of the H brace bolt to (part not shown)?
Someday I will get this set. Sways and springs/struts first tho.

What's done to the car suspension-wise already?

If you don't have summer-only tires, custom-spec alignment, springs/struts, sways/endlinks, fender cowl braces, etc., I would advise you save your money and put it towards them instead, as they will make a bigger difference.

    Summer tires
    Custom alignment
    Front sway/endlinks
    Struts/springs

After those are taken care of (in that order), then revisit other suspension mods...
