Subaru newb... my first Subaru, a 2011 WRX Limited in WRB

    Hello everybody.

I just recently registered on NASIOC but will be lurking/reading/contributing here as well. I plan on getting this thing lowered and possibly running spacers on the stock wheels for the time being. Not sure what to lower it with, hence reading before buying.

Currently looking for some sway bars and a catch can.

Car has just over 850 miles on it the past 2 weeks that I've owned it, I'm well past the break in period.

    Greg

    Thanks guys.

Not sure on any type of specific brand. I definitely don't want to sacrifice the stock ride quality to the extreme, but still want it to perform better than stock on the monthly autoX course.

xFallenX- is that some sort of a horn upgrade that I see in your avatar?

Sweet! Thanks for the link as well. Me coming from the GM v8 muscle cars, I feel completely overwhelmed. It's like I'm learning everything from scratch here.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the car!

Think carefully about using spacers - they will add a weak link to your car that may be a very bad idea if you are Auto-Xing. Read up before you go that route.

Have fun with the new ride!

I have been reading that the spacers are not too friendly to the wheel bearings, so staying away from those.

Currently trying to decide on which lowering springs to get that would suit me and my driving habits: daily driver that would be autoX'd once a month and still maintain a reasonably comfortable to stock ride quality. I know that's going to be difficult, but a simple 1" drop or slightly less would be great. Looking to improve both the aesthetics of the vehicle and the performance of the suspension, so I have a lot more reading to do.

Exhaust/tuner/and other parts are coming up shortly.
