No, no you made a very good point. I actually don't know. The 2.0 cars came with either world market EJ205 or EJ207 motors and I am sure the mapping differed but I don't know whether they were all 32 bit.

I made an assumption. I didn't think that AVCS could run on a 16-bit ECU -- there isn't enough overhead for the code. Since Bugeyes in most other markets received AVCS, then the ECU must not be 16-bit. My argument was solely based on that assumption which may not even be correct.

You guys totally underestimate the power of your cars computer. If it was an OBDI computer...maybe...OBDII computers have so many countermeasures that its ridiculous.

An intake is not opening up air flow that much that someone is going to fry their pistons and seriously who do you know that they are 100% stock and put an intake on, now their pistons are fried? No one.

thanks guys much appreciated. Its a little different to me cause I used to have a Scion TC which I added a turbo to myself and so in which I had to get it tuned obviously but I was just a little confused on what or what is not ok on a car that is already turboed. Plus I read the what mods to do and what not to do first so I have an idea on what is in my order and what is just dumb and not needed.

See what I mean? It's a debated subject everytime it comes up. Bottom line is if you feel safe with an intake without a tune, get one. Would I? No chance. I'll add something to read to the mix...http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3223

I was trying to find dealer/tuner in my area which I finally got it to load after about 10min, and to my suprise cobb has listed a AP dealer like 10min from my house and a protuner right near my work almost. So since Cobb is recommending them, I might shoot in and talk with them, if they keep itesm in stock I might be getting stage 1 alot sooner than planned.
