    Hi everyone,

    I've just bought myself a metallic orange tiptronic bug eye WRX. I'm going to have tons of questions on how to service my car and stuff like that, but I can see the site has so much information on it that I should be able to find everything I need. Here are some pics of my car. it's still in Japan, I should have it by the end of next month.

    Rage-WRX, with crazy Zimbabwean duties it's costing a shade under US$12000.00

    jd92677, Thanks, I'm pretty chuffed with it. it's a step up from my last fast car (Toyota Caldina GT-T)

    brfatal, I really have no idea, they weren't specific about what it's got, they said "lowered suspension" and "aftermarket muffler" :P

    jeff, the colours pretty cool, i'm going to get a carbon fibre scoop and wing, that should contrast nicely, i'm already itching to drive it

    Welcome! I've never seen a tiptronic WRX before... it's cool to see some of the other Bugeyes of the world

    IIRC, the JDM bugeye has a Torsen rear diff and AVCS heads, no?

    Hi Zax, I believe you're right about the Torsen rear diff and the AVCS heads. it's also got 250bhp out the box

    You may need a retune unless you have access to high octane gas. I know in the US, generally the highest you can get is 93 octane

    altitude too i'm sure. but the PITA is finding some way of getting the car tuned here, unless i try learning myself and going the open source route, but i see that ending badly... and expensively :P
