    what car do you have?
are you looking for coilovers or springs?
are you going to be daily driving? auto-x? etc.

how low do u want to go? springs are good for DD. will lower the car about an inch. depends on which springs u look at. ive always been told tein springs are good. if u want to go lower, u can get adjustable coilovers. they ride a bit stiffer but u can go lower. its not recommended to go for the slammed look. u dont have to lower a scooby that low. it can be done but your ride quality will be crap and then ull have suspension problems.

There are some suggestions in this thread. I'd read through it
