@cosh; Lookin good.. I've got 35% all around on mine..In Va Beach.. not exactly legal up front, but so far no negative attention and its been on since late last summer. I've been really happy with it. The only thing I'd like to have done is the strip across the top of the windshield.. from the pics it didn't look like that was done on yours either. Somehow the sun always manages to get me right in the eyeball in that spot between the mirror and the visors.

50% the perfect amount? Can you even tell it's tinted with that light of tint?

If you go to the exterior mods section of this forum there is a sticky with all the tint laws of different states.

I have my car tinted at 20% for the front windows and 5% everywhere else. 20% really isn't that dark... I never have any trouble seeing out even at night. I originally had the entire car tinted at 5%, which looked awesome, but I did have to roll down the front windows occasionally to make a turn at night on unlit streets. Didn't mind it for awhile, but eventually it got annoying.

The other thing to think about is that it will look much less dark from the inside than the outside, and it will look much lighter in person then in pictures, especially from the side view.

As for having a difference in tint... I think it looks better if it is uniform all around, but it still looks pretty good.

EDIT: As a side note, I've never had any trouble with cops for my tint. Not for 5% all around in Colorado and not for my current setup in Nevada or Cali. And Cali doesn't allow any sort of tint on the front windows at all.

Yea I was looking into the strip but I just figured I'd leave it as is. The legal limit where I'm at is 35% but I haven't drawn any negative attention so far even though in certain lighting conditions the car looks more like limo! I love how it looks though.
