    The majority of the cars I have owned have all been manuals. I have down shifted to 1st countless times when slowing down and getting to a point where speed and RPMS matched a shift to first. I do this when approaching red lights. I have never replaced a clutch.

    You know what this means don't you? You've never owned a car long enough!

    I've never gotten less than 100k out of a clutch, but I have replaced one before. What a PITA that is!
