Red face Goodbye Zeeeee, hello Sooobie....

Hey people. I'm Darryl from Kamloops BC Canada. Eh?

Recently sold my 350Z Touring 6MT for a 2010 WRX with 24,000km (13,000 miles). I love my z but need more room for my HDR photo equipment and mobile detailing.

I bring to these forums 20 years+ of professional detailing btw. I was the main forum detail person on my350z.com and when I had my 07 Civic Si, on 8thcivic.com. Let me know if you need to know anything about detailing, how-to, etc.

Back to my rex, it's Satin white 4dr. everything is factory, unmodified... for now muaha. I wanted a base, no sunroof, no fancy stereo, just lightweight. I will add the stereo down the road

Few mods I plan to do first
    - change the grille
    - wheel spacers
    - 1.0" drop
    - SPT exhaust
    - paint the trunk chrome-lid to satin white (bodyshop)
    - all external WRX chrome emblems to red (bodyshop)
(makes no sense why they're chrome and seats have them red)
    - light tint all the way around (in BC its illegal to have sides blacked out)
    - Philips 6k HID conversion
    - rear tail LED conversion

And once the roads clear up a little, Pat Richard of Rocket Rally (few hours away) will be tuning her once I get the air intake and exhaust put on.

This forum looks like a great place to hang, compared to the spazz-fest over at nasioc.

    Talk to you people soon!
    Darryl

Welcome. I had a 350Z Track a few cars back. I enjoyed that quite a bit but once I went with a turbo car I don't think I can ever go back to NA lol.

Pictures coming soon. I'll take nice shots.

I agree with you anxiouz. The turbo is intoxicating.

Welcome from the RWD world! I dabbled in the 350z world for about a year with my own 6spd Touring...black with burnt orange interior!

Beautiful car and I miss some little things about it...but I traded in an STI for it. Year ago, I decided I need to get back into an STI. You'll enjoy it! AWD and boost is where its at!

...noticed the wheel spacers upgrade (you must be a 350z guy )...make sure everything stays uniform on all 4 corners...no dishing of the rears with a finicky AWD system

It's going to be a good change. 350Z was a lot of fun, turned a lot of heads, but at the same time when it came down to buying stuff at walmart, for example, I couldn't fit much!

I'm in Kamloops, and this year plan to drive the Sea to Sky highway. Never been, and I am excited. At the same time I'll visit Rocket Rally in Squamish and see what I can do!

I would skip the wheel spacers (personal preference) and HID kit personally (unless the 2010 wrx's have projectors designed for HID?). But otherwise sounds like a good setup

Ya, wheel spacers are out lol.

I think the projectors are the same as the STi, in which they can handle the HID.

You said it...VQ35 is the second best sounding engine there is

The startup is what sold me on the Z...kinda has a Ferrari-ish roar when you turn the ignition on.

I love my 2006 Z Tourinig. It's a fun tail happy car that I get compliments on wherever I go, even though it's a little old now. The thing is a little low on power, even when I bought it.

I can't wait for my 2011 WRX Limited to arrive though. It's killing me!

The only real complaint I have about the Z is that they're so common. They're really great cars though. I still have fond memories of cranking the wheel and throwing the tail out. So much fun.
