If it's your first time, plan on an hour, to an hour and a half. Definitely need to have several U joint adapters and long extensions.

    ah ok, thats not terrible.
not as good as like 2 min in the VW, but not as bad as i expected!

when i go, im going to check oil color, hopefully compression, the trans via its dipstick and im thinking about going under to check the color of the rear dif oil.
when driving listen for clunking in the rear for worn struts.
make sure gears dont grind and go in smoothly. its my understanding 1st will usually need to be a double clutch downshift if im moving.
make sure boost hold to redline.

any other things i should look for that im forgetting?
other than the normal rust and obvious things wrong?

you have to remove the entire intake tract up to the inlet (except the silencer/snorkus), and the battery.

I used a spark plug remover socket, and 2 u joints to be able to get 90 degrees, and then a 14" extension.

I guess it helps that I don't have the stock intake box. The PITA part is removing the battery, but it's really no big deal. Just be very careful not to cross-thread any of the plugs when you install the new plugs. It can be a bit tricky and requires some patience because of the angle.
