This is a discussion on New Soobii first WRX 2011 within the New Member Hangout forums, part of the Community - Meet other Enthusiasts category; Hi all I joined recently and just two weeks ago I've got my new subi, but first WRX. I had ...
Congrats! Did you get that from Livermore Subaru? I purchased the one in the showroom there about 5 weeks ago. BTW, those aren't the stock wheels, right?
Yes, they are the best deal in bay area. This is my third car from them.
I've to change the wheels the same day I took my car, it was cold and Dunlop just was too stiff to keep my car the way I like on this freezing weather. This are my old wheels from 2005 outback sport, 16" sport edition 50mm offset 7"w with pilot alpine PA2. There are probably 10K miles more in this tires, and they will do for this season.
Yup, Livermore > Capitol in terms of pricing. Lapon was my sales guy and he was a no bs, straight to the point kind of guy.
Welcome & Congrats!
Nice '11 WRX
Bought it in Livermore,ca.
Two days ago I replaced rear swaybar to eibach, adjustable 22mm tube. Next will be front, just need some time for my self and subi
It took me less than two hours, but if I followed instruction it would be 40-50 mins. Basicaly, I tried for while to connect endlinks first, and then to tire-up bushings
First step when installing rear swaybar is to screw in bushings. Everything else goes smoothly.
Now the best part, I set it for stiffer handlnig, and since I don't have installed the front it seems to oversteer bit more than it should. My assumption is that when front bar comes it is going to be neutral.
All that I can say now it is different and much more fun to drive. I love subi.
Right now I am looking to replace my eibach sways and stock coils. For me wrx has to be stiffer, but not lower. I aleady have trouble with driveways in my neighbourhood.
