I have a 2011 WRX premium with the Nav unit - this morning while driving the volume started to increase, at first i thought i might have pressed the steering buttons by accident, but then when i was parked waiting for someone a few minutes later, it did it again and i could see the numbers increasing without me doing anything!

    Anyone else had this happen?

I had this happen with a different car/system, so it's not unheard of. Thankfully you're still under warranty.

In my other car, I couldn't shut it off either. Thankfully it had a removable faceplate and taking that off shut off the system!

You might want to check the speed sensitivity settings on the unit. The stock radios are speed sensitive, meaning the faster you go the more the volume increases automatically.I think you have a choice of 0, 1,2.You can try setting it to zero ,but if it happened when you were stationary it might be a problem.

I didnt see any mention of ssv volume in the manual, or in the setting on the unit but ill look again. Come to think of it, it cant be the ssv system (if it has it) as it was doing it while i was parked! Ill check though, thanks for the suggestion!
