Slightly. Hardly. The main restriction is the catalytic converter. Sure, you'll lose a few ponies going "Stage 2" with the stock muffler, but overall your butt dyno probably won't tell the difference. Power "stages" are just a marketing gimmick, but "Stage 2" is considered 3" downpipe (catless or high-flow cat) + tune. You don't need to replace the catback to run the Cobb Stage 2 map, just read the map notes.

This is flat-out not smart. The downpipe install takes a few hours while the reflash takes 30 seconds. You chose to install the former while not having a chance to do the latter? Especially when you can caused damage to your motor running a downpipe without a tune? REFLASH THE CAR IMMEDIATELY!
2015 CWP WRX STi ... But how did I get roped back into an EJ motor?!

jjrob1 and chr321, don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds like you two need to do A LOT more research before beginning to mod your cars. These are not your typical import car, they require more than you may be used to. I'm reading what you are posting here and I fear for your cars health. Trust me, you'll be much happier... do your research, do it right, and enjoy years of hassle free driving
