You're right, last night was nasty. I was shoveling 4 inches from my driveway around 10pm. I bought some all seasons yesterday morning in preparation. Sucks to have our new cars getting so dirty so quickly.
Congrats on the WRX!
Yea I was thinking the same thing. I have to find a touchless wash and get this waxed. The summer tires were ok on the way home but that is because I was only going 30mph all the way home. It was pretty bad out. Luckily I got word today that tirerack shipped my winters today
Not trying to thread jack, but this may be a stupid question and I didn't want to start a new topic (and search isn't working). But....it is ok to take the scoobies through a car wash? I ask because of all the soap/wax that would go into the hood scoop.
NOW..i know that lots of other road debris and crap goes in there, but just was wondering....
i really feel stupid asking this haha

Cngrats!! and welcome, def gotta get more pics up!!
And to 7n7 its all preferance, but imo i would never take any auto to thoes car washes, even the do your own w/ the brushes thoes brushes can scratch your paint, its just usually not worth it imo, i always wash and dry by hand, ya know ya get every spot and it just feels right lol

Trust me, when it's not cold as heck out I wash by hand. We have a lazer wash by my house which doesn't touch your car at all. I just wasn't sure if it mattered if lots of soap/wax got in the hood scoop. Probably better than all the salt that is everywhere haha. Thanks for the input all and not making me feel like an idiot![]()

so I can break the rules today!?perfectly fine. I agree with knight on this one, I love washing and waxing my by hand, except when it's 15 degrees out and I need to get the road salt off, then I break the rules
