Well...I heard back from HT Autos...he wouldn't give me any group buy discounts, but he did say that he could throw 2 lips in one box, thus cutting the shipping costs in half.
the only problem I see with this is that, unless some of you are close to me, it's going to cost an arm and a leg for me to ship the extra lip to you from Newport Beach.
Anyone terribly intersted?

Here is the manufacturer, which is in Australia: N-1 AUTO ACCESSORIES
Try to make them speed up the design, maybe even give some input.
Not to derail the topic.. but theres always the garage door foam lip if you want something cheap thats adds protection:
Universal Front Bumper Lip Diffuser Splitter Valence * | eBay
I actually ordered one (for $20 shipped), its just a strip of rubber with 3m double sided tape on it but haven't bothered to installed it. I figure it might protect the bumper from a little damage and costs almost nothing.

I figure it this way:
Its only $20, and it will protect the bottom of your bumper from curbs/parking/etc. If it gets damaged or ripped, you know you don't deserve a real lip spoiler based on your driving/parking style. Think of it as "training lip"
I think there's a few threads on here with pics, search around.
These are some of the DIY options out there
DIY Solid Front Lip : The Writeup - NASIOC
DIY Front Lip - Version II - NASIOC
Obviously the first one is better.

Can't see photos at work but it sounds like that first one has wood IN it? Meh.
I actually kinda love that second option...I've seen the DIY lip before but never doubled up like that. I might have to give this one a try when I get back from the Bahamas! It'll cover up my small scrapes/tiny front bumper crack from pulling too far into a parking spot.

I really like the V-Limited... BlackTop Aero STi 11+ Front Lip Type V - N-1 AUTO ACCESSORIES
There was a group buy several months ago on NASIOC for this one, but I think it's over... GB: 2011 STI Carbon Front Lip (Type V and VR) + Dry CF Side Vents *** Late April - NASIOC

The foam types don't protect, I had one.
It looks good for ""until I get a real one".

Definitely want a front lip but can't decide if I want to do the front lip or the tS trunk lid first. To do both I would be pushing a grand. And to think when I bought the car a couple of months ago I said I wasn't going to spend any money on mods...
Lip is important for protection, it's maddening when a scrape reaches over the edge.
Few more lip pics..........
