congrats on the car, you're going to love it.
I'd love to see some pics. I find the Carbon Fiber trim somewhat appealing.

Just bought my first Subie - a 2011 SWP WRX Premium sedan. Couldn't justify the difference in the wrx and the sti, since I won't be tracking my car. It already had the carbon fiber trunk trim installed, and I picked up the snowboard rack option and all weather mats. I guess SOA recalled the SPT boost gauge due to a defect according to the parts department. Also came with the STi shift knob
Pics to follow, it's getting the sealant treatment tomorrow morning so I have one last night with my 08 civic si before trader her in.
Just snowed yesterday, so perfect timing to pick up AWD before snowboarding starts!![]()

Welcome to the club, and Congrats the WRX!
I love the SPT carbon trim.
Enjoy the snow!

just a quick question.. did you swap your tires for an all season or winter tires? I'm actually searching for a good all season tires (probably will end up buying the conti extreme dws). I just can't find it in the warranty if we are free to do alignment on first year...
anyone has an idea?... thanks

Definitely get yourself some winter rubber. I was waiting for our first snow to see how bad the stock summer's could really be and it was terrifying. Just ordered a set of Blizzaks (WS70) from Costco for a very reasonable price and should have the by next week.
Congrats on the car! How much did that snowboarding rack set you back?

The base rack was about 220 and the snowboard rack was another 200+. Just added it in to the financing. You should try negotiating for them, I got the all weather floor mats thrown in the deal and probably could have gotten more had I tried. I definitely need to pick up some winter treads though.
Would it be foolish to just keep the same rims but swap the rubber and then swap it back in spring?

Meh, for that price I think I'll just put one of the rear seats down and toss my board in the back. I love having a hatch lol. As for winter tires/rims, I'm mounting mine on the stock wheels. I was thinking about buying rims in the spring, but either way I'd much rather keep the car looking clean with the stock rims than drive around with those ugly steelies for half a year. It's only like $8/tire to get my summers remounted so I see no problem with doing that.

I'm Soo bummed out. I missed the chance to get an 04' STi with aftermarket Turbo and exhaust with an HKS SSQthe Guy only wanted 4k for it. But I guess everything happens for a reason.
