Not sure what your income is but good luck with the insurance and be smart if you get one. I'm 27 now and this is my first respectably fast vehicle and it is tough to drive this car wisely.

What Eric05mx said about insurance is a really good point, make sure you check that out before buying one.
Happy Read/Researching!
Hi there welcome aboard!
Your pretty lucky if you will be getting a WRX at the age of 17.
I didn't get my first WRX until I was 25 years old.
They are rockets so it's kind of hard to drive around the speed limit.
Trust me I know I always find myself saying "Tomorrow I will drive the limit, and I still haven't done it yet. LOL!![]()

Call me lucky then. The wrx seems to be more and more a kid's car, as the bugeyes move into cheap car territory. Unfortunately, certain others of my age do not know the difference between safe and fun and just reckless, so we get hit with insurance.
I was generally alright with keeping with the speed limit (well, the 5-15 over mandatory in NJ)... then I started taking backroads home from school.
Shizwiz: what kind of wrx are you talking? That is, about what year/price range, and wagon/sedan? Got color preference?

My current car: 2002 WRB WRX Wagon.
Mods: GM BCS, Carberry SD rom, uppipe, AEM UEGO, Klunk Killer, F+R shifter bushings, head unit
I was thinking maybe a 03 or 04 WRX sedan somewhere in the $7k to $10k range. Depends on how much I can sell my current car for I guess. As for color, the blue WRXs look pretty good. And for the insurance costs, I have $ saved up from jobs I've worked but will still have 2 find a good policy
Thanks for the welcome!
