Don't think, just do
BUT...a lot more you can ask or think about before just picking up an STI.
New? Used? Can you afford payments? How much down? How much you willing to pay? Can you afford insurance? Etc.

This is a discussion on Thinking within the New Member Hangout forums, part of the Community - Meet other Enthusiasts category; I'm a new member and I'm thinking about getting an STI. Anybody in the Toledo, Ohio area? Any good deals?...

Are you thinking new? Take test drives, make sure it's in your budget.
What about used? Go to some local subie meets (or just make friends with local owners), and ask if you can drive their car (ideally of a similar age that you're looking). There is a world of difference between driving an '04 and an '06 - let alone and '04 and a '10.
Although my thread (link in sig) may be a little more wrx-biased, it should still prove itself useful if you're searching for used STi's (I tried to include some STi info). If you're going new, they're all basically the same - just test drive to see if you'd like one!
