Hi I'm new and wanted to introduce myself!
Just picked up my 2011 STI sedan in white! I've been told the first one sold in Palm Beach County Florida. This is my first Subie and first manual transmission. I still am a little slow out of first but after that I'm gone. I had a Lexus IS300 before with over 167k and hope this STI can make it that long. I was tired of tryin to look responsible and uptight, time to have fun on my way to the office, home or carting my daughter around.
Now what can I do to it for a few bucks...

As Dez alluded to there isn't too much to be done for only a few bucks that will noticeably effect performance. However, depending on what you're looking to do and what your definition of "a few bucks" is there are some things that can be done for not too much.
In all seriousness though you really need to get used to the car in stock form to understand where you may want to tweak or how much. Once you get used to the car, your best bet is to start with handling characteristics (tires). I know that doesn't sound really sexy but it is the the truth.
Post up some pics of that sweet thing pronto as we like to drool

I'm looking at about $2k for upgrades for now. Don't want to go crazy. I know Cobb Accessport and tuning is a good start. Getting used to driving stick is something I have to really do first before jumping to far into mods.
The fogs are standard on the sti limited. They can be added to the sti standard. I'll add later as long as it does not interfere with the front mounted intercooler that may be there in the future.
Can we post pics directly or I need my own website and provide a link? Can I post on Facebook and link it? I'm not that computer literate when it comes to this.
I would start with full 3" back exhaust, open source pro-tune, and do various bushings (i.e. shifter bushings, steering rack bushings, tranny mount, motor mounts, subframe lockdown kit, crossmember bushings, etc.), and short-shifter.
You will likely be able to accomplish this for less than $2K (if you do the work yourself). It will transform your car. If it can fit into your budget, sways would be a nice addition.

Anyone in Palm Beach County know good tune shops? I've seen velocity factor, japtrix and horsepower logic online. All pretty close to me. Any recommendations?
