Here is my final selection before hitting the VA dealers
2011 Impreza WRX Limited
Obsidian Black Pearl
Sirius Radio $398.00 (great for road trips, Nav is better on my smart phone)
SPT Exhaust System $999.99 (Can't live without that sound)
Short throw Shifter $295.00 (everyone here recommend it)
All weather Mats $59.95
Footwell illumination $46.54 (my son thinks it is badass)
Total: $31,700
Trade in 2005 Legacy GT 82K miles (hope for $5K)
Down payment $5K
Finance the rest over 60 months.
Also holding another $1500 for Dunlop winter/snow tires and rims.
I welcome any opinion, thanks.

They can deny a claim citing "abuse" on a 100% stock vehicle.Originally Posted by ZJbrandon

well, that would have me in a fit of rage, especially since I got the "extended" warranty. I would like a short throw shifter, like the OP, but I'm planning to avoid aftermarket so as to not give the dealer any "fuel for the fire".
Just finished ordering my new 2011 STI 5 door @ Stohlmans in VA. Dark Grey 5 door with the short throw shifter, SIRRUS radio, and of course the footwell illumination kit. All out the door @ $36K
I'll send pics when it hopefully shows up in about a month.
I would like to know why Subaru does not make the STI year round, seasonal output going on right now as the salesmen stated.
Congrats on the STI - I have the dark gray as well and it goes great with the wheels.
But the price difference for the WRX vs STI just wasn't worth it. I got a base model WRX for $24k and $26k out the door (sales tax / D&H).
The leather seats would be nice and all but I usually prefer cloth. My wife wanted the heated seats but as there was only 1 WRX limited in Colorado, period and they wouldn't even come down on their regular WRXs, it was a easy choice.
All though, had I gone with a black one I would have saved about $600 from another dealer, oh well.

My avatar is a picture of a REAL Wendy's girl that I took. I couldn't believe the shirt (spoon me? sounds like a sexual lawsuit waiting to happen) but it's pretty funny too. I commented about her shirt, she was cool and I asked if I could take a picture with my phone!
