Edit: I forgot to mention, I did manage to get the short throw shifter. It feels like 3" between 1st & 2nd gears. I REALLY like it.

Hey. I have the short throw shifter but I don't feel any difference from the one without... Is it possible that the dealer deleted it?

Can we tell if they have deleted it just by the way it looks?

    Thanks guys...

No, I don't think you can. You could always find a local dealer with a WRX in stock, sit in it, and do a direct comparison...
2011 WRX Limited, DGM; full tint, SPT CBE/STS w/ bushings, RA flaps, Enkei PF01s, Pink SuperTones, and ClubWRX.net stickers!

Actually, I believe there is a difference.

The stock shifter shaft is silver in color.
The STi short throw is gold in color.
You would need to drop or raise the shifter boot to see.

It was mentioned in another thread here recently. I may try to find it.
    Edit, found it...
    Which shifter do I have?

I believe the OEM short shifter has a gold lever.
