So...I've been around these forums for...a LONG time

I joined back in 2003 when I got my first experience of a WRX. Now, 7 years later I have actually bought the WRX I originally drove. Here she is, with 59k miles in Midnight Black Pearl when I picked her up:

This WRX was owned by my cousin who introduced me to these forums. Some of you may remember him, he's GotWRX03. Here's a current list of mods:

EJ257 Motor built by COBB with the EJ20 heads
VF22 - Turbo
550 pinks - Fuel Injectors
255lph fuel pump
TurboXS - full turbo back exhaust
KnN air filter
Aluminum race radiator
Engine management - RomRaider
Perrin front swaybar
Underbody link
STI aluminum control arms
Full Steel braided brake lines
Short Shifter
Kenwood CD Player
RS Wheels
Carbon fiber rear spoiler

Needless to say it's a monster, it was dyno'd at ~290 hp, 274 torque. I'm not a huge fan of the Carbon Fiber spoiler, but I don't think I have the cash atm to buy a wingless trunk.

Did I mention that I flew to AL from OR to pick her up?

So I drove back to OR in 3 days covering 2600 miles. Here's a few pics

Only bad thing about the trip was I got hit by some **** in Idaho right before crossing into OR. Here's what he did to the car:

Atleast USAA is coming to the rescue. Anywho, it's great to be a "real" member of the community now. I gotta tell you, learning stick again is a bit nerve racking, but definitely fun. I've got other pics but I figured this was good enough for now.

And yea I'm still a bit on the fence about the spoiler. Sometimes I like it...sometimes it just screams "RICE" to me too

If you know anyone who does bodywork you can remove the spoiler and have them fill in the holes and repaint. It can be a cheaper route depending on how much they charge to do that. The labor part is easy (removing the trunk lid, lights, and spoiler) that way all the body work guy has to do is fill in the holes and paint (for the most part). That way it could save you some extra money by uninstalling and installing the trunk. Just a thought

i am as well in oregon, salem no to far off, been puttin together subie meets here and there some more sucessful than others lol, ya should come out !, also if ya wantin to take PEKO's advice my brother does great body work and always lookin for something to fill up free time, not abel to view pictures as i am logged in at work.. ugggg but not to difficult at all to fill and re-paint trunk, just did my fender due to a bit of a spill and turned out flawless
