I just bought a 2006 WRX limited. It has a stainless catback, which the muffler was stolen at the dealer the day before I picked it up. So, the dealer is replacing with with a similar stainless axle back. Other than that its stock. Plans are to lower it and put wider rims and tires (255s or wider if I can get them to fit) on it and leave the powerplant alone for the moment.

how wide of a wheel do you plan on putting on? i wouldnt go any bigger than 8"-8.5"

8.5" if i can. Still need to break out my ruler and do some measuring. I was originally looking at 04/05 wrx's but when I came across this one I couldn't turn it down. It seems like you see tons of the wrb/silver/black ones, its actually the first red one of any generation that ive seen in person. Plus the dealer had it priced as if it was just your plain jane wrx, so I picked it up for about 2.5k less than kbb.

you can definitely fit 8.5 as long as it has a normal offset (high 40's, low 50's)- but i'm thinking with 255's you'll rub & probably need to roll the fenders.
