    Modifying My 05 WRX

    I have an 05 WRX (ej20 2.0L)
I just put in an intake, exhaust, up and down pipes, a BOV, boost controller and gauge, lastly pink fuel injectors.
I bought an IHI VF-22 turbo. Of course I already know I have to upgrade the transmission and put on a bigger Top mount intercooler or front mount.
Would it be way too much power for the 2.0L? I'm driving it like a civilized person most likely.

i'm hoping you have a tune?

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to switch to E-85.
assuming you have one... i'd probably consult your turner & see what they recommend.

And am I risking putting too much strain in my engine/transmission
potentially.. depends on how you drive.

    Quoting your edited first post.

To run E85 means the injectors must inject around 30% more fuel.

With a VF-22 the 565cc pinks are getting near their max flow rate. You'll need bigger injectors and a new tune.

Right now at the moment I haven't put in the VF22 T.
But I am running E85 on pink injectors with my stock T.
I already have a Homie-G that's going to tune it properly for e85 with a bigger fuel pump and better injectors.
I guess my question is if my stock engine can handle the power. (2.0L ej20)

I have a seperate project going on with the EJ22 block (2.2L)
I can always save the VF22 for that once the block has been souped up to 700HP capacity
(This car will not be my daily driver when 2.2 goes in most likely)

    Power doesn't kill motors.

Owners, bad parts, and bad tunes kill more motors than just power output.

If you are having your motor remapped to run E85, first makes sure the person has a very solid idea of what they're doing and why, and then let them do it -- this means letting them dictate parts choices with which they are comfortable. It also means accepting there may be expensive noises and smoke, it's part of the game if something goes wrong.

Above all find someone to design a correct fuel/timing/boost map for your car.
