New on the board, and figured I'd do some intro thing.

My wife and I just bought an '11 WRX (base model, white).

I owned an '84 Subaru 4-dr sedan back in the late '90s, and my mom had an '80 Subaru 2-dr hatch when I was a kid in Anchorage, AK, otherwise we're both new to modern Subaru ownership.

Had always teased my wife (then g/f), that she drove her '02 Echo like a rally car, and hence needed a STI.

Sadly the Echo got totaled back in July, so we talked about it, and since the payments were doable, she got a WRX (couldn't warrant the coin for the STI).

Love the car is an obvious statement, but it works.

I come from driving big American r/w drive sedans and coupes with a/t, and her a 5-spd 108 hp(+/-?) Echo (previous to that a 5-spd Diahatsu[?sp]), so, as you'd guess, it's been a lot of fun learning the hatch.

Hope to post more, especially after driving down to TX w/the WRX.
