Good, video is working then! And raspy is appropriate: I've got the smoker's bronchitis.
We'll be updating videos as we get some snow tires (and some snow)--I foresee donuts!
In case the previous link is giving folks trouble:

i bought my 2004 subaru wrx sedan in novemer 2009 for 8200 and its got a busted catalytic converter but im gettin a new one soon so yeah it was a good deal!!
dayum the car sounds real good!! sooo sexy!
was that reply towards me? lol my bad. stupid question
when i bought it, it only had 100k miles on it
Thanks! I think the (long ass boring) video kinda undersells the sound, so I'm pleased to hear good reviews. I was originally looking at the HKS Carbon-Ti exhaust, but I just couldn't hack the price ($950 for catback alone). This whole set up cost me $600 roughly, but we did find that the previous owner who set the engine on fire did have the sense to change out the stock up-pipe to a Perrin, so that saved me $100.

Ohhhhhhhh yeah... that thing sounds SWEET!
When I was looking at buying my WRX last spring I found one... got super stoked on it... and then took it to my mechanic where he found that it had at least $2500 in necessary, safety-related repairs (i.e. brakes weren't working right, the joint that HOLDS THE WHEEL ON was falling apart, etc).
And then after that the A/C didn't work (possibly a 1k fix) and it still hadn't had timing belt or spark plugs replaced at 135k miles...
And he was selling it at KBB for excellent condition...
Very glad I caught that...
At least you have the means to fix what was wrong, and from the sounds of it get a super sweet car out of it in the end!![]()
Hey,
Your car sounds awesome. I wish i could get away with that in california. Great set up thus far one question though, how does it drive? maybe a 1/4 mile run in the near future? or a dyno tune sheet? hehe
![]()
Custom dyno is absolutely coming! And yeah, let me work on my gearing--it drives GREAT and I think it would be awesome to do a grudge match against my husband if he gets a supercharger in his SVT...or a grudge match against anyone who's game!
Thanks, and sorry to hear about owning a WRX in CA--that just takes all the fun out of it. A cop glared at me the other day, but oh well, guess he'd have to go after all those Mustangs if he went after me!![]()
