Thinkin' about a WRX, Mustang owner.

Decided to join up and read up on subaru's. Im driving an 06 mustang right now, and my friend got a wrx not to long ago and that thing is a blast lol so now its got me looking into them since Ive always enjoyed turning the car more than driving one straight. Lookin forward to learning more about these subie's!

Heres some pics of my current car if anyone wants to see:

Welcome... your stang is a 6cyl. Right? If you are considering a rex read the stickys up in the forum area... it will give you tips on buying a wrx/sti and what to look out for and what not... the best thing to do is research and see what you would want out of the car and see if it would fit your needs...

Yeah no problem man... also read the first mod what to do and what not to do list to get more of a feel if/when you get your rex how they respond to different mods...

Definitly, that'd be one of first questions haha. Ive read a little bit here and there about wrx's and hear that cold air intakes dont do much good, yet in the mustang world a CAI + tune is one of the best things you can start with lol. So im in a completely new world

Nice lookin mustang, welcome to the forum. Subarus are by far one of the most fun cars ive ever drove. Its gunna be quite a change from the v6 to a boosted AWD. Our cars murder from a dig, and like a free flowing exhaust with a tune. Any idea what year your lookin for?

Not too picky on year, Id prefer one thats not a bugeye but thats all I can find in my price range around here but they're all modded to hell. Ill probably save a little more so i can get like an 04-05 or something. Gotta get cheaper payments since Ill be raped on insurance lol.

Thats good thinking. The bugeyes have weak trannies, and the 2.0L so they are a little slower than the rest. Insurance isnt bad on wrxs, I pay 125$ for liability with a couple speeding tickets on my own insurance, and im 19.
