Hey guys,
I'm set on buying a 2010 WRX by the end of August, but can't decide between the sedan or the 5-door. Could anyone give me some pros and cons for either side?

Will the hatch fit a pair of skis in the back? If I could, I'd like to keep from buying a ski rack.

Hatch all the way! The sedan looks like a Kia!![]()
I prefer and opted for a hatch- from the practicality point of view. With the seats folded down, you can easily load a lot of stuff back there- I even put 2 mountain bikes in once (padded in between) cooler, fishing gear with lots of room still left. When you want to carry people, fold the seats up and you are ready to go. I also have a Yakima roof rack so I can carry gear in back and on top- lumber, bikes, kayaks, etc. So practical for a very high performance car.
Sedan! haha I really don't have much to sway you. I actually drove hatch and really liked the view out the back however I really prefer the sedan and still seemed roomy enough for everything I needed. Plus sedan was cheaper up here.
I'd say hatch or sedan is completely based on what you want to use it for.
The hatch is an amazing all around fun car. You can pack it full of stuff and go camping with the kids in the back seats, boot full of tents and coolers and your bikes on the roof. It's still fast enough and handles well enough to allow you to have fun while still being family oriented.
If you don't want to have that extra storage space or are just looking for a "small" car, then maybe a sedan is a better choice.
I'd say it really depends on what you want out of your Scoob. Both are excellent choices.
Hatch 100%![]()
This is probably your answer since you can't decide between the two.
For others (like me) the decision was easy--many either love or hate the sedan/hatch. I bought the sedan so you know to what category I belong. I'm so biased that I had wanted to buy an STI since they came to NA and when I was finally to the point of buying I had to compromise with a regular WRX.

Thanks for all the responses, guys! I was on the fence about the hatch buuuuut you all give valid reasons. No hard feelings I hope, sedan fans.
Hatchback.. Sedans look like butthole with exhaust on them
