Here are some of the features of this car

WRX STi Type R Japanese Specs
The STi is far from standard
    Forged Molybdenum Coated Alloy Pistons
    Sodium Filled Exhaust Valves
Hollow Inlet Valves Deal With The Higher Revs & Greater Heat
Metal Gaskets & Heat Proof Red Coated Manifold
    Reinforced Larger Intercooler
    Revised Larger Intake Manifold
    Teflon Coated IHI VF28 Turbo-Charger @ 16.8 Psi
    Larger Capacity Exhaust System
    STi Quick Ratio Power Steering
4 Pot Ventilated Front Brakes, 2 Pot Rear Ventilated Brakes
Titanium Strut Brace by FHI Aerospace Division
Alloy Suspension Arms To Reduce Unsprung Weight
    Inverted Strut Suspension
STi Double Pressure Heavy Duty Clutch
    Reinforced Rear Axle
    Close Ratio Gear Box
    Intercooler Water Spray
The STi type R coupe has a viscous limited slip differential in the front axle. An electronically controlled differential in the centre which can be altered from free to 100% locked. Also a 4 way 2 pinion mechanical differential in the rear.
    Horsepower figures
280 hp at 6500 rpm and 260 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm (100 RON)
    206kW at 6500rpm and torque 353Nm at 4000rpm (100 RON)
Versus 160kW at 5600rpm and 290Nm at 4000rpm for the std WRX
    Compression Ration 8.0:1
    1-100km/h in 4.9 seconds (100 RON)
    Roof Air Vent
    STi Blue Racing Seats
16 Inch Rays Lightweight Racing Gold Alloy Wheels

Leather MOMO (Airbag) Steering Wheel & Gear Knob
STi Hot White Dials in a Blue Dash Panel and Blue Fascia Panels
STi Limited 346/1000 Plaque / Subaru WRC Limited Edition

The factory STi computer is excellent, but has 3 shortcomings.
1st - it is tuned for 100 RON fuel, I use BP Ultimate 98.
2nd - it is tuned extremely safely and runs very rich.
3rd - it has factory limiters - 180k speed, revs, power.

    Modifications
Enkei 17" Racing Alloy's with Toyo R888 Tyres
    Tein Super Street Adjustable Suspension
EBC GD Slotted Front Rotors with EBC Yellow Stuff Brake Pads Front and Rear
    STi 1.3 Bar Radiator Cap

I have recently upgraded my brakes to EBC GD Slotted Front Rotors with EBC Yellow Stuff Brake Pads Front and Rear.
WOW what a massive improvement, i was gob smacked by the stopping power and recommend this upgrade to everyone who wants to keep their 16' wheels or are considering a Brembo upgrade.
I can't wait for the P.C.C Clubsport Twilight Sprints on the 1st wed in feb.

This may spark off a forum debate but I prefer the HAWK pads, even over the Brembo's
