New to Forum, needs help with 2006 subaru wrx!

I saw this subaru for sale and the report said the below picture. Is it any good?

the state of california deemed the vehicle junk. That means the car has been totalled and if it is road worthy again the title will be a reconstructed title. Not necessarily worthless, but deffinately not close to retail.

here is the item on eBay, I thought his review was good with a score of 69. But this is gonna be my first car ever, and I wanna be sure that I'll make the right choice and not spend my money unwisely... I really appreciate your help

Since this is your first car, I'd recommend getting something locally from a reputable dealer with a valid warranty, a full service history, and no modifications.

The guy just answered my query, i sent him a message before I post this thread. And I would like to hear from the expert what you think about it...

There was absolutley no engine damage or frame damage
garaunteed! Both fenders , a headlight , ccover bumper,
hood, and a few other minor plastics were changed out! This
car looks stunning and runs very smoothly. The reason the
low score Is when we bought this car through an insurance
company, we filed a total renewal at the DMV. The reason for
that is there woul be no penalties for none renewal fees at
the DMV( liike the yearly road fees, parking tickets , and etc)
that can be attached to the vin of the car and has to be paid
during registration. Basically it wipes the slate clean for this
car, but it had a chp salvage inspection and it passed with no
problems! What u see is what you get w this car!! A heck of a
ride at a fraction of the original price!!

You do know this car is NOT a WRX, right?

The car is a 2.5RS with WRX body parts. It will be dramatically slower than a WRX.

Also, if the car does not have a CA smog certificate walk away.

No wonder. I actually never knew about the wrx built. Gosh I'm so glad that ppl like u exist! Thank u for guiding me.

Yeah dude, just make sure the speedometer says '140 mph' as opposed to '120 mph'

That'll be the best and easiest way to see if it's a WRX, I think.

unless someone swapped out the gauge cluster. If someone has done a full body swap to an RS, I imagine they swapped out the gauge cluster as well.

Just look for the snail under the hood, and the ej255

but yeah, generally speaking, they wouldn't switch that.

If they do... Then that's kinda sad.. just buy a WRX!
