Just got my new 2010 WRX a few days ago, and am lovin' it !! This thing is totally ridiculous to drive, even when short shifting below 4k it's still a blast - can't wait till she's broken inMy wife (slow driver) thought she'd be the slowest WRX driver ever, but behind the wheel looking at the hood scope she was enjoying the occasional pull. The brakes are epic too.
Our current ride is a ~ 85Hp RWD Geo Tracker, so the change to this thing is immense !! No performance mods, but it's more than enough car as it is for us. Got plans for rust proofing and a Ventureshield clear bra in a few weeks.
Gotta strap a canoe to the roof in a few weeks for a camping trip. I was thinking of using the tow hook in the front as the front tie down point?

Greetings and welcome to the Club!
Geo Tracker?!?
Skip the rustproofing. Modern cars are far better at fighting off corrosion than those built years ago. Aftermarket rustproofing can easily block factory drainage holes that will encourage rust.

Seriously, avoid rustproofing. Subaru does it better than any aftermarket outlet could ever dream of.
I've been around for awhile (I'm 48). I've watched the progression of factory automotive rust control body technology from zero during the late 70's to quite effective today.
Back in the 90's, auto makers started using methods that prolonged the life of the steel in their products. Thirty years ago rolling rustbuckets were common.
Today I see far less of this. We see plenty of road salt down this way.
