New guy with new car

Hi all!

Just dropping by to say hello. I recently traded in my 2006 civic for a new silver 2010 WRX HB. I'm loving the car so far, although it's been a bit of a learning curve getting accustomed to the clutch and trans. The power is ridiculous compare to the civic. My only gripe so far is the stock radio with it's supposed 10 speakers. The stereo just seems weak on the bass, and very distorted when you give it some volume. The civic came stock with a 300watt stereo and sub package, so maybe I was spoiled. Other than that this car is awesome to drive, and I can't wait to get a catback on it.

I would suggest something in an under the car stainless steel sound system (catback or better yet TBE).

Ya the speakers in my 07 are crap compared to many other cars out there. My Tiburon came with infinity's which were nice for a stock car and perfect for my tastes. Subs are nice but I only actually used them in my WRX to annoy people around me which was rare as it was.

Welcome!! The stock radio isn't great, I agree (I came from a cobalt ss with 7 speaker pioneer system with sub..was AWESOME actually!). But you know what? I don't really mind right now. I am pretty content on just listening to my music at a decent volume and just cruising, listening to the cars own sounds. Just a fantastic feeling. But hey, I can see why people replace them. They are pretty weak for being a 10 speaker setup.

Welcome and very nice car. They make the speakers so crappy because of a lot of drivers just want to listen to the boxer rumble and the turbo spool.

Welcome. I have the same car (minus sunroof that I can see..)

I replaced the head unit and that made a large difference in the stereo sound.

Got some weather tec floor mats. Good purchase.

Tinted the back and rear side windows. Have Rally Armor flaps to put on but my kids are blocking my progress.

You're going to love that car. I look forwarding to driving to work every day now....
