    What are your mods?

If you're catless or have a BOV it could be causing your car to backfire

BOV's have been known to cause backfiring, try to find an OE and put it on, your problem will go away.

Afterfire is caused when the AFR mixture is too rich, leaving unburnt fuel. A custom tune should minimize this.
