    Help! New Here. WRX ??

    hey everyone,

    new to the site. i might be purchasing a 2002 Suburu WRX with about 150k miles. anything i should be looking for? are there common problems with these cars.

    Have vehicle inspected, and look for a carfax if possible.

    Spend more than just 10 minutes driving it, and in a couple of different conditions. You'll be surprised at the amount of problems you could notice right away...

    When I bought my 03 @ ~75000 miles it needed some suspension work (back struts were bad). This could be seen by how the back sat lower than the front. Just changed the rotors and pads recently, which made a world of difference from the stocks. Before the car would shake when braking at higher speeds suggesting they were warped. Brakes were also making noise when braking at lower speeds.

    Those were a couple things which I overlooked when purchasing mine so I hope that helps.
