    Question Average max whp of a wrx?

    Sorry I had a question about the max whp a wrx could obtain w/out a total motor swap.

    As far as what I'VE SEEN, many wrx's seem to have difficulty obtaining more than 300-400 whp. Although im not sure this is that significant to the more experienced subaru owners/ enthusiasts, I was a little curious.

    One set up I did see was from a friends brother, whose wrx had cobb accessport, tbe, up pipe, pink injectors, and some kind of turbo upgrade and fmic. No internal upgrades as far as i know. So based off these upgrades/tuning, it seems to run some over 300 hp to the wheel. Is that about right?

    And if so is 300-400whp easily obtainable for say a daily driven wrx? Please excuse my curiosity but i couldn't help but just lay out some words that came to mind.

    Two semi-local shops, for example...

    330whp @ The Shop CT is hit by StageII STi's
    330whp @ Innovative Tuning takes a built motor, headwork, and a GT30R with supporting mods

    Its has nothing to do with not being able to hit those numbers. It has to do with not blowing up your transmission and $$$ to make it so.

    If mind-blowing hp is your goal, the WRX is probably the wrong starting point.
