    Still a newbie, gas mileage?

I'm currently getting about 75-80 miles from Full to 3/4 tank, getting about 150 to a 1/2, and about 185-190 ish down to 1/4 tank. This is driving easy, lugging around in 5th gear hitting boost occassionally. With my foot in it, i've gotten 90-100miles to a 1/2 tank.

Whats the usual? its an 06 WRX stg 2..

Using the Gas gauge is not accurate enough to measure how your gas mileage is.

Is your check engine light on? I only ask because of your avatar. If so what are the codes?

no, no CEL's anymore. Just fixed that which seemed to be close to HELL. My toyota's CEL is on but its been on since the day i owned it at age 15.

using the gauge isn't a correct way to measure MPG? i was just using the fuel tank capacity of 16 gal divided it by what my mileage is at what mark im at whether it be half(8gal) or 3/4(5.3333333333)

i've read a couple posts, most agree with the 150 to a half but i just thought the 185-190miles at the 1/4 tank line kinda odd.

Sorry buddy, but you're doin' it wrong.

Fill up the tank with gas. Reset the trip odometer.
Next time you fill up write the amount of miles you've driven on the receipt. Then reset the trip ODO again for the current tank.

Now, take the miles driven and divide them by how many gallons purchased = gas mileage for that tank.

    M / G = MPG.
