    wrx update.

well, i havent been here in a long while.
so here are some updated pics of my car.

    To start.

story = mr performance was selling a set of MY04 headlights that had been retro-fitted to projectors.
unfortunately, the housing's and lenses were trash and cracked and falling apart.
so i baked them, took out the projector/reflector part, then baked my headlights, and swapped the reflector pieces.
alot easier than it looks. was fun to do. now i just need to get new high beam bulbs. my regular headlights will be done in due time so it will be dual projectors.

how do you think it came out?

    this

    + this

    = this

Pics of the car. NOTE: i no longer have black fog bezels. i found a pair of psm fog bezels for the cheap.

The trunk has a long story behind it.
    Cliffs :
body shop told me to sand for cheaper price cause i was getting the wrx spoiler holes plugged and filled.
    i sanded.
    they screwed me on price
i rattle-canned it with plasti dip. came out way better than i expected.

The scoop was all scratched and chipped so i painted that too.

I plasti-dipped my center console while i was at it.
all the impressions and mess-ups you see are from leaves landing on the paint while it was wet and me not wanting to redo it all.

    and the most recent happening.
Was on the highway doing 55.
right before a turn i felt a series of bumps.
i got around the turn and my car starts going sideways.
i pull over to see this, but still on my rim.
the inside sidewall had buckled and let all the air out rather quickly.
the sidewall was hanging on by a thread, so i just pulled it off while i was putting the spare on.

Not exactly sure why you would retrofit projectors into high beams instead of the low beams.

I'd have taken the halos out.

    let me explain.

the kid who was selling them bought his sti and these were on there.

so i bought that set for 50 bucks, and the projectors had already been mounted to the high beam area.

all i did was take the reflector housing out of the crappy headlights and swap them into my current headlights which are good.

there arent any halos, just the clear ring to cover all the crap behind there, and believe me, there is alot of crap lol.

within the next few weeks im going to be buying another pair of projectors to put into the low beam section.

No no, I wasn't specifically saying why YOU would do it. I was speaking in general.

    oh lol.
    my bad. im tired lol.

yea i know. at first i was atleast hoping they would be aimed half decent.

but they were aimed like crap even after me adjusting it, so i just switched to the reg low beams.

but for 50 bucks + learning how to take apart the headlights i cant really complain.
