Getting A Wagon

In the next month or so, i am going to be purchasing a WRX wagon. Any suggestions on years which are better/worse. I know that in 05' the wagon went to a 2.5L engine but i cant imagine that makes a tremendous difference. Also any suggestions on want to look for as far as future problems could be.

The 2.5l wrx was actually introduced in 2006. I would recomend getting that motor. It responds a lot better to modifications. Other things were upgraded that year as well. I'm on my phone so I can't link the exact page but go to cars101.com for more info.

I'd recommend an 05, 06 before they upped the HP. From what I have read, the older engines prior to the increase in HP seem to deliver better fuel economy than the newer ones. I have an 2010 and it is not good on fuel- particularly on the highway.

And I would agree with getting a 2.5. However..... I will say any Sooby will make you a very content person.

Especially a Rex or and STI
