hello i have an 04 wrx that ive owned for about a year and i love it but im a speed freak and want to do more to it. i have an ingen cold air intake and its great but what else should i do? should i go with the TBE? or map out the ecu with cobb or perrin? any help would be nice

The first modification for any 2.0L WRX owner should be removing the catalytic converter in the uppipe. Here's a thread that goes into a little more detail:
Attn '02-'05 WRX Owners: The Importance of the Uppipe Mod

The Injen CAI is one of (if not) the worst on the market. It requires a custom tune (a Cobb base map won't suffice). Remove the intake immediately and reinstall the OEM airbox.

From what i have read on here about the 04' is that you need to take the cat out of your up pipe, and if you are going to do that might as well do the rest which would be the TBE, i went catless but that my friend, is up to you! So, a catless up-pipe, TBE or Cat-back, and difiantly a pro tune for your new mods! (with the pro tune the tuner will turn up the boost and it will be sick!) Good luck my friend, stay thirsty!

wow i had no idea the up-pipe had that kind of issue. that will be #1 on the list. if i dedcide to go the short ram intake which would be best? id like to have the better breathing room for my engine cause with the stock one it was kinda starving for air. what tune is the best...cobb...perrin....OS? and i hear blitz nur spec TBE give u the best overall hp and tq gains? any exhaust input to which would be best?

No, it's not. Right now your intake is not a restriction.

The Blitz Nurspec is the loudest WRX exhaust still in production. I would pass.

Up-pipe, TBE, tune (goes with the TBE), silicone TMIC y-pipe, sway bars, and springs.

Listen to videos on Youtube. I personally don't like the canister exhausts as they can be obnoxious and they lack the refined sound that standard exhausts have.

tunning question.....ive read around and people are half and half to cobb vs perrin yet there is also a large percentage that is siding with tantrix and custom tunning? whats the deal with all 3 and whats a good method i got plenty of time on my hands after work and i want power and tq gains(400hp&tq goal in 2 years) but i dont know what i should do i got around 3500 to dump into her so far and im stuck here..i have up pipe and TBE on the way....

If power is your goal I'd recommend a compression and leak down test to ensure you don't have any engine issues. Not a fun "mod", but should be the first step before upping the power.
