New Member on Board! BMW -> Subaru

    Hello Everyone!
I just purchased a 2010 WRX 5 Door Limited in Satin Pearl White yesterday and I absolutely love the car! I came from a BMW 335 and wanted something different. I can't wait to be a part of the Subaru community now.

    335 compare WRX

If I might ask, how would you compare the driving experiences betweetn the WRX and the 335? I currently have an "07 Miata and am looking to get a sport car with a little more utility and those are two cars that I am considering. Either will be faster than the miata but how does the handling, steering suspension compare? Thanks for any information you can offer.

The 2 cars are pretty different but is comparable with power. The BMW 335 was an Automatic that delivered smooth power with a lot of torque that you can feel on the low end starting off from a stop. BMW's windows and doors felt like it was isolated very well. I had wheels and suspension done to the car so the car felt very solid and hugs curves very well.

I've only had my Subaru WRX for 2 days so far so I can't give you a full comparison (I'm in engine break in period!). However for the times that I have let loose on the pedal, I do notice that this car has a lot of pickup for a non inline 6 and single turbo. The Subaru is really growing on me and I enjoy the car very much. I do miss my BMW but I'm going to enjoy my Subaru even more

Thanks for your input. I had a 2000 Bmw M coupe and they do make wonderfully linear engines. I am curious about how you will experience the differences with steering and handeling between the BMW and the WRX.
