    yep, i'm new

I just bought an 06 Subaru WRX. It's got all kinds of mods done to it, Injen Cold air intake, Greddy turbo timer, Blow off valve, wheels/tires, 3'' down pipe to a pretty big exhaust. My question is to you guys, What are the top things i should know about these cars?

Im new, and its been my dream to own a subaru and i finally was able to get one. I love the car the power is insane and i'm totally new at it. My other vehicle is a 95 Toyota tacoma 2.7 so.... Enlighten me please. Thanks guys!

    1) remove injen intake. replace w/ stock piece or a better designed intake
    2) remove BOV & replace with stock BPV
    3) MAKE SURE you are tuned! if you aren't- stay out of boost completely until you get one.
    4) enjoy driving your car, as it should be running a whole lot better

as for the oil- i use 5 quarts of 5w-30

when you guys say "tune", you mean like a programmer or chip? i just had the car serviced at the subaru dealer for 25$ with a 50pt inspection.

the injen intake, why not so good?

the bov, why put stock back on? people tell me its a 200$ accessory.

Thanks, still lovin the car but one other question, What should my gas mileage be driving right? adding it up right now i'm getting close to 10MPG. seems like something is fishy...

The injen intake is just a crap designed intake (trust me i had one) it's going to make your car run lean. As far as a tune there is a open source tune, or you can buy my UTEC that i have for sale FS: Turbo XS Delta-001 UTEC, Switch, Laptop Package!.

10mpg is bad unless you're beating your car like a $2 hooker.

    Dealership XX-pt inspections are BS.

Post your location so we can point you in the direction of a Subaru shop that can take your car to. Pay them do to a full look-over of the vehicle (if it's not tuned, have them tune it), and have them perform compression/leakdown tests. This may be a bit on the pricey side, but it's preventative maintenance.

    well, its almost getting 10mpg...

I live in the tip top of kentucky, 10 minutes from Cincinnati. What would be killing my mpg? i've been trying to drive the car really easy hoping it gets better.

I went to Joseph Subaru/Cadilliac. Like i said the car has alot of stuff done to it (in my opinion) how would i know if its got a tune on it? Money is pretty tight so by no means can i afford to go put it on the dyno for 2-3 hours at 100$ pr hour.

Well you need to figure out if its tuned...cause either way...getting it tuned is going to be a lot cheaper then thrashing the engine...ya know?
