My one complaint so far is the transmission, it seems a bit squishy so I ordered new shifter bushings from Perrin along with the short shifter. Other than that, the car is awesome! Great acceleration and passing power.

Anyway, here are some photos of the car! My wife decided to pose with the car, and despite my best efforts she wouldn't wear a bikini.

    nice car!

Thank you for the compliments! My wife is pretty amazing, and if it wasn't for her I probably would have never gotten the WRX.

I do plan to tint the windows, mostly just for privacy in the hatch.

    Just a little update...

I put the Perrin shift bushings on and man does the car feel 1000 times better! Everything in the transmission feels smooth and crisp! I am quite in love with this car...

I bought some perrin bushings literally two days ago! So you do notice a big improvement? I wonder if it will be the same for my 7 yo bugeye...

It's a huge difference! The car feels so much more precise and crisp. No more dull and uncertain mush box!

    Best of luck!

Well I tried and failed. I spent 3 hours and tremendous physical strength attempting to remove the OEM bushing from fulcrum... I cannot remove the OEM bushing. If you don't mind me asking, how did you remove the OEM bushing? So far, this has been even more difficult than removing my stock DP...

    Bummer.

Brute force was my method. It took me about 30-40 minutes to do everything. I got the bushing out by just prying at it. It took a good five minutes of messing with it before it finally popped out. I'd suggest using a set of pliers to grab hold of the bushing.

Best of luck again. I'd offer to help but I think we're on opposite sides of the country.

Yes we are. But that's OK because I was able to finish the installation. Instead of prying the OEM bushing (like Perrin suggests), I used the anchor bolt and some extra force to push the bushing off the shaft. Then I just installed the new bushings with a little white lithium grease and voila.
