Looking to buy a 2002 wrx

I've been a honda guy for awhile, looking for a car with power and good mpg from the factory and I've always loved the 02 model wrx. I'm aware of the tranny's being glass when it comes to doing mods but I'm looking to keep the car stock anyways. The car I'm looking at is at 100k for 6900 and I'm curious of how long it will last and if it's worth the money. I'm sure a tuneup is needed as in any car, like the timing belt and such? I work on cars myself but the wrx's engine looks like it'd be a pain. Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is the car at a dealership or is it private party? Ask for any and all maintenance records. Is it a clean title? With proper maintenance the engine lasts a hot minute. If the scheduled maintenance has been performed, could be a chance the timing belt has already been changed.
