    Hello Everybody.....New Member Here!

Hello clubwrx.net people! Im new to this site and looking for some ideas on modding my car. I have a 2005 WRX that is bone stock! I have had the car for just over a year and have decided it's time to start upgrading. I would like to upgrade it's performance first so any suggestions on where to start would be great. Right now I can afford to spend about $500 on upgrades some if anyone has any good starter performance parts for sale...let me know! I look foward to being part of this forum and everyones imput! THANKS!

^^ good path for power - I'd consider suspension upgrades as well. Thicker rear sway bar, stiffer springs with 1" 1.5" drop to start.

Lighter weight wheels and grippier tires are the best bang for buck.

What do you want to do first? Looks? Suspension? Power? Maintenance? Never a bad idea to put good fluids in the car before modding.

+1. That's what I would do if I had an 05 WRX that I wanted to start modding.

I would throw in a SRI after turboback exhaust and before the tune though....

Depending on your mileage, make sure your WRX is up to date on all maintenence first... then go for the mods. Also try constantly checking the personal for sale threads on here and NASIOC as you can get good parts for cheap. Happy modding.

Suspension / grip first. You can't run fast without the correct shoes.

    +10000

suspension first in my opinion as well. a larger rear swaybar, endlinks and some new tires will work wonders.

this was my path in this exact order

    tires
    rear endlinks/swaybar
    springs

    ss brake lines

    cobb accessport, stage 1 reflash
    turbo back exhaust/stage 2 reflash

    hawk hps brake pads

The car has only 36,000 miles on it. I already bought new tires for it 225/45/ZR17 Michellin Pilot Sport A/S. They have great grip. As far as supspension goes what is a good brand and where can I find a good deal on a rear sway bar and end links. I also thought of getting lower springs to lower it an inch or so.

you may be able to find good deals on used ones in the for sale forum here or on nasioc. you can also try ebay.

whiteline, cusco, and perren are all decent brands.

i've had a cusco bar on my car for almost 70k, its a little rusty, but it does the job.

be sure to get endlinks as well. the stock endlinks are plastic and have been known to fail once switching over to a bigger swaybar.
