    odd things happening

    so i was driving down the highway today and had the urge to see what the little wrx could do so i went from 2-4th gear and when i let off the gas to coast down cause my exit was coming up the check engine light kept flashing on and off. anyone else have this problem or is it just a vibration thing

    Maybe I am not reading this right....you went from 2nd to 4th gear????

    I think you ment from 4th to 2nd....anyways, I have not ever had the issue myself but a clearer message might help others understand your issue.

    he said he wanted to see what the wrx could do, Im assuming he went 2nd to 3rd to 4th while flooring it

    We aren't psychic - get the code read, then come back and post it. Most likely, it's just an overboost code, but you need to give us something to work with.

    ok...maybe it is just the severe lack of sleep finally getting to me. Forget what I said then....but yeah, get that code read and it will tell you what the issue is.

    I bet the code is going to be overboost related (WGDC etc.), you had boost creep.

    yeah my bad i went 2,3,4th not straight from 2nd to 4th and the light isn't on right now so i have no way of getting it read

    I guess I read too quick - I assumed your cruise was flashing and the CEL was on. If not it is probably something else.

    The code should be stored, you should still try to get it read.

    you went 2nd to 3rd to 4th? well the light came on telling you not to speed !

    4th gear is easily 90mph+

    lol. do you have an STi or something? 3rd tops at 85.

    Back on track, there is officially no CEL for going 90mph.

    but I also don't go over 65 on the hwy

    to each is own, that was a joke if you didn't notice...
