Cool Fyi great hid conversion kit!

Hey! Just installed my new kit, last kit I bought both ballasts were fried within a month and flickered the hole time, and I tried everything to get the flicker to stop. If you want awesome HIDS that are true plug and play no need for relay, check out HIGH TECH AUTO ACCESSORY INC. I got a 63.00 digital slim kit shipped within a week and not one little flicker!

Have any pics to show cut-off? When you installed them did you bend down the metal plate "squirrel finder". I have a set comming in for the 08 from ddmtuning to hold me over until i can find the TSX projectors and the time to do a retro-fit.

    ??

Sorry not sure what you mean, I didn't have to bend anything for installation. What do you mean by cut off? Its a very simple conversion, and works great thats all I can say...

Inside the projector (have to take apart the headlight) there is a small metal plate that reflects light. If you bend that plate down you don't get as much scatter with the HID's and the beam cut-off is a lot better.

This is what your headlights look like, and you are most likely blinding people.

This is what they should look like, with a proper retro-fit or at least make them better by bending down the squirrel finder.

I don't understand why Subaru could not add HIDs to the Premium version of the WRX at least..

I make the STI different from the WRX with suspension and power, not safety features like HIDs

One would think they would at least have it as an option. But, doing a proper retrofit would probably cheaper than an "HID option" from the factory anyways.

I wouldn't want to do that to a brand new car though

I would prob get Sylvania Super Vision white lights

Funny as we were discussing HID's available for the WRX because I just got an e:mail from Subaru stating that the 2010 WRX premium will have that option

Correction: not WRX premium but WRX limited. Didn't say if it's 2010 or 2011.

    Excert from the e:mail:
The WRX Limited is available at your
Subaru dealer now. Premium features like
leather-trimmed interior, HID headlights and SIRIUS® satellite radio to go with a
    turbocharged 265-horsepower SUBARU BOXER® engine.
